A chain, anchored at each end to a sturdy stake, provides a
perfect line to which you can tie out multiple dogs. Each dog
is in turn on a three-foot length of chain that allows it
some mobility, but still keeps the dogs away from each other.
Most handlers will use the chain gang as a way to let a number
of dogs watch other dogs working the field. This helps the
dogs on the chain gang to build enthusiasm, and even do a little
learning as they watch.
